Born in 1972 in Ordu/Ünye, he graduated from 9 Eylül University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in 1993. In 1997, he started working as an Assistant Specialist in the Marketing Department of Kuveyt Türk Participation Bank and left in 1999. He worked as Marketing Specialist, Marketing Manager, Branch Manager, Regional Manager, Regional Manager, Recruitment and Career Planning Manager at various levels at Türkiye Finans Katılım Bankası. He started working as Acting Executive Vice President in charge of Retail Banking in July 2016 and served as Executive Vice President until March 2017. İsmail Vural started to work as the Deputy Secretary General of the Participation Banks Association of Türkiye in February 2018 and was appointed as the Deputy Secretary General in February 2022. Since April 2023, he has been serving as Secretary General.
